Associate Attorney

Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice LLC, a litigation defense firm with over 200 employees, has an opportunity for an associate attorney with at least three years of experience in all phases of personal injury defense, employment, and commercial litigation.

Candidates must be licensed in Oregon or Washington and have the ability to work independently on complex litigation cases.

• Manage file throughout litigation process independently and as a part of the team.
• Conduct fact investigations.
• Handle document productions and other discovery tasks.
• Prepare witnesses for deposition.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Review and analyze policies, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Court hearing preparation and attendance including oral arguments of motions.
• Trial preparation and attendance including trial team support and direct and cross examination of witnesses.
