Labor & Employment Associate Attorney

Overview

The Portland, OR office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice.

• Assist in all phases of labor and employment matters, including client counseling, litigation, and training.
• Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings.
• Draft and argue motions, and take and defend depositions.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; strong writing and analytical skills required.
• Work independently as a self-starter and as part of a team; extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.

• Admitted to practice in Oregon.
• At least 2 to 7 years of experience in employment law matters.
• Prior employment litigation experience is required (preferably on the management side).
• Employment counseling or in-house employment law experience is preferred.
• While employment law experience is preferred, candidates with substantive litigation experience and an interest in labor and employment law are encouraged to apply.
