Position: Legal Assistant to the General Counsel
Overview

Are you looking for an engaging and rewarding legal support position in the non-profit sector? Join one of Oregon’s largest non-profit organizations as the Legal Assistant to the General Counsel.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the General Counsel, supporting a wide variety of legal, administrative, and HR tasks. You’ll gain experience in employment, transactional, and real estate law, with no two days the same.

Responsibilities

• Track case progress and maintain up-to-date files and documentation

• Prepare legal documents and correspondence

• Manage the General Counsel’s calendar

• Perform HR duties including processing timecards, coordinating schedules, and conducting background checks and drug testing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience

• Experience with employment law, HR, or workers’ compensation preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

• High school diploma required

• Notary public preferred
