This individual will organize, install, and support all computer systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), phone systems, and other data communication systems. Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Design complex, interactive computer and network systems with a focus on remote manageability, security and uptime.
  • Configure, maintain, and upgrade network devices, including firewalls, wireless access points, routers, and switches. Monitor network availability and performance.
  • Administer security applications including Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Mail Security, Vulnerability Management, Intrusion Detection and Response (IDR).
  • Develop innovative security process controls to protect assets and information across the environment.
  • Review network and system alerts / notifications from monitoring systems and diagnose issues.
  • Perform timely response and technical support for all incidents, outages, alerts and change requests.
  • Produce network, security implementation, and migration plans.
  • Maintain technical documentation for all site networking, VLANS, DNS and security mechanisms.
  • Develop and maintain the documentation to ensure changing requirements and technologies are captured and communicated.
  • Collaborate with the IT team and lead assigned IT projects.
  • Provide support for IT Support Specialists.
  • Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.
  • On-site attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties and responsibilities.
  • On-call duties as needed or assigned.
Required

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to learn new technologies and implement them successfully.
  • Patience in working with users.
  • Proficient skills and experience with networking concepts, including firewalls, IPsec and SSL VPNs, routing, switching, wireless, load balancers, and DNS.
  • Deploying and troubleshooting complex enterprise networks and security solutions such as IDS/IPS, next‑generation firewalls, antivirus, vulnerability management, application control, spam filtering, and SIEM.
  • Deploying and troubleshooting large scale, complex enterprise networks into a distributed manufacturing environment.
  • Configuration of switches, routers, security appliances, etc. (Cisco, HP, ADTRAN, Meraki).
  • Wi‑Fi systems deployment experience with equipment from multiple vendors including indoor mesh, outdoor campus mesh, wireless bridging, and point‑to‑point.
  • VMware vSphere, including vCenter, ESXi, and related technologies, including storage systems, iSCSI, and virtual switches.
  • Telecommunications (VoIP, Shore Tel/Mitel).
  • Automating tasks via Power Shell or any scripting language.
  • Windows Active Directory maintenance and security administration.
  • PCI‑DSS, HIPAA, NIST, ISO, data privacy, and similar regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of general IT concepts and technologies, including cloud computing, virtualization, server platforms, and security.
  • Strong knowledge of IT operations best practices, including knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery.
  • Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, able to quickly adjust priorities, and the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or a related field or 5‑10+ years of relevant work experience.
