Role

Summary

The Senior Ecommerce Specialist is the bridge between high-level strategy and technical execution. You will act as the "Managing Editor" of our digital storefront, coordinating monthly site "publications," defining technical requirements for developers, and ensuring an excellent member experience across Shopify, Net Suite, Hubspot, and our custom Ruby App.

Essential Functions Technical Operations & Release Management
  • Release Management: Own theme deployments, coordinate deliverables across Tech, Marketing, and Catalog teams
  • Process Documentation: Create and maintain the "operational playbook" for all ecommerce workflows and repeatable systems.
  • Quality Assurance & Issue Tracking: Test new features and log technical bugs, ensuring functional and visual accuracy prior to deployment.
  • Functional Validation: Test and validate all new site features prior to deployment.
  • Feature Scoping: Partner with developers to define data structures and configure metafields for new feature builds.
  • Launch Orchestration: Define content requirements for monthly "editions"; coordinate with Creative, Marketing, and Catalog teams to ensure timely, comprehensive releases.
  • Site Merchandising: Manage PLP rankings, Smart Collections, search filters, and cross-sell logic to optimize product discovery.
  • Catalog Integrity: Oversee vendor-specific hero sections to ensure data accuracy and brand polish, ensure accuracy of product metadata, and tags, especially as it relates to search and display.
  • Tactical Execution: Manage daily/weekly site adjustments, including menu updates, form maintenance, and promotional prep.
Reporting & Insights
  • Performance Tracking: Pull actionable reports from GA4, Shopify, etc to track member behavior and sales attribution.
  • Data Reconciliation: Ensure frontend site activity aligns with backend truths in Net Suite and marketing workflows in Hub Spot.
  • Publication Mindset: High pride in "First of the Month" turnovers; obsessive eye for polish and zero-error execution.
  • Technical Agility: Able to translate complex business needs into clear technical briefs for developers.
  • Data-Informed: Comfortable using data to validate creative decisions and optimize the member journey.
  • Project Leadership: Skilled at managing complex timelines across multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
Education & Experience
  • Experience: 3+ years in Ecommerce Operations, specifically within the Shopify ecosystem.
  • Platform Proficiency: Proven experience with Shopify Admin, Excel/Google Sheets, and reporting tools like GA4.
  • Technical Familiarity: Experience with ERP (Net Suite) and CRM (Hub Spot) integrations is highly preferred.
  • Startup Ready: Demonstrated high learning velocity and the ability to master new skills on the fly.

Compensation
  • $75,000 annual salary + bonus, benefits, and stock options
