Network Security Engineer (Pre-Sales + Implementation | VAR / Professional Services)

The company delivers ground-to-cloud infrastructure, networking, and security solutions to a broad customer base and is known for a collaborative, high-accountability culture.

They are hiring a Network Security Engineer to serve as a trusted technical lead—partnering with sales in pre-sales discovery and solution design, then owning hands-on implementation and Tier 3 escalation support. If you enjoy solving complex networking/security challenges, presenting solutions to customers, and being “the engineer customers remember,” this is a great fit.

Pre-Sales Engineering (Consultative / Solution Design):

• Partner with sales to run discovery sessions, whiteboard solutions, and translate business needs into technical requirements
• Architect security-focused network solutions across key vendor platforms
• Produce network diagrams,
  BOMs
  , and detailed SOWs
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations
• Contribute to technical proposals and RFP responses

Post-Sales Engineering (Delivery / Support):

• Lead hands‑on configuration, deployment, and implementation of network security solutions
• Collaborate with project managers to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget
• Provide advanced Tier 3 troubleshooting and serve as an escalation point for complex issues
• Build strong long‑term customer relationships as a primary technical point of contact

• 3–5+ years of network engineering experience with a strong focus on cybersecurity
• Strong foundation in networking protocols and routing (e.g.,
  TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF
  )
• Firewall experience with one or more of:
  Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco
• IDS/IPS
• VPNs (IPSec, SSL)
• Endpoint security concepts
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders (customers, sales, leadership)

• Experience in a VAR / MSP / Professional Services environment (strong advantage)
• Cloud security familiarity:
  AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
• Relevant certs highly valued (any of the below):
• CCNP Security / CCIE Security (Cisco)
• Fortinet NSE 4/7
• CISSP (ISC2)
• Security+ (CompTIA)

• Curiosity and continuous learning (staying current on security trends and technologies)
