Position Overview

The Interface Solutions Analyst supports OCHIN's mission by implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting interfaces between systems and providing interface project support.
These interfaces include, but are not limited to the following: laboratory, radiology, immunization registry, billing systems, pharmacy systems, dental systems, HIEs, and other EHR's. Leveraging deep technical expertise, strong problem‑solving capabilities, and staying current on technological advancements. This position is centered on resolving complex technical issues, optimizing processes, and implementing innovative solutions. Additionally, it involves aligning technical strategies with business objectives and fostering collaboration with non‑technical stakeholders to bridge the gap between technology and organizational goals.

Essential

Functions
  • Develop, document, and deploy solution functionality by building, testing, and maintaining features according to specifications and requirements, while ensuring clear documentation for usability and future reference.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using critical thinking and advanced technical skills to ensure optimal system performance and end-user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate across departments to support project implementations and address member maintenance issues.
  • Drive documentation and knowledge sharing by creating and optimizing technical documentation to support process improvement and alignment across cross‑functional teams.
  • Skill development and competency growth in technical design, analysis, and system enhancements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare industry or health information technology.
  • Working knowledge of HL7 standards is required
  • Working knowledge of XML is desired.
  • Certification in Epic Bridges is required and ideally 2-3 years working in Epic
  • Certification in Epic Chronicles is a plus.
  • Experience with Space Bridge within Bridges is highly desired.
  • Familiar with Mirth or other Interface engines is a plus
  • Familiarity or interest in JavaScript or application development is not required, but a plus.
  • Knowledge of Epic Lab, Radiology or Patient Registration workflows is ideal.
  • Being comfortable with self‑directed learning.
  • Debugging, troubleshooting, and documenting skills.
  • Process and detail‑oriented, with a strong focus on data‑driven decision making.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and solution oriented.
  • Must have strong Analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience.
