TITLE: Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Lead
LOCATION: Portland, OR (Hybrid / Onsite Flexibility)
PAY: Target pay for this role is $150-175K but may vary based on experience
ENGAGEMENT TYPE: Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire
What You’ll Be Doing
As the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Lead, you’ll lead the strategy, automation, and reliability of AWS-based infrastructure for a rapidly growing SaaS/eCommerce platform. You’ll design secure, scalable cloud environments, drive Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and manage CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery and ensure platform stability. This role is both strategic and hands-on, collaborating across engineering, product, and data teams to support the company’s digital platforms.
Who We’re Looking For
You’re a seasoned cloud and Dev Ops professional with:
- 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or Dev Ops, including 2+ years in leadership
- Deep hands-on expertise with AWS (EC2, ECS, VPC, RDS, IAM, S3)
- Strong experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Proven track record building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Cloud Watch
- Familiarity with security best practices, secrets management, and cloud compliance (ISO/SOC2 is a bonus)
- A passion for mentoring engineers and shaping Dev Ops culture in a high-growth environment
