Data Analyst

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to support a major initiative involving the rebuild of their Enterprise Data Warehouse, along with advanced data visualization and reporting efforts. This role will focus on turning complex information into meaningful insights using Power BI, SQL, and Python. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly collaborative, and skilled at bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.

• Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver accurate, business-focused reporting solutions.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI, incorporating DAX programming where appropriate.
• Write SQL queries and leverage Python to analyze, validate, and transform data.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to interpret and utilize data from SQL Server and cloud databases.
• Translate business questions into clear data models and visualizations that drive informed decisions.
• Present findings in simple, compelling formats and support the adoption of reporting tools across the organization.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• 2+ years of experience developing Power BI dashboards, with knowledge of DAX preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and cloud database environments.
• Hands-on experience with Python for analysis, reporting, or automation.
• Background in data visualization and analysis with a track record of simplifying complex data.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineers or IT on data pipelines and warehouse initiatives.
• Self-motivated, curious, and accountable for delivering high-quality insights that meet business needs.
