Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of solicitations, application templates, and related documents
  • Manage review processes, status, and tracking for technical review of proposals and negotiations; liaise with mission office for cost proposals and technical evaluations
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders involved in the program
  • Communicate orally and in writing complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive programs forward
  • Must be capable of tracking metrics effectively and adept at managing multiple parallel projects and tasks simultaneously.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year experience supporting Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) or related Federal "ARPA" agencies (IARPA, ARPA-E, HSARPA)
  • Experience with in management expertise and collaboration within mission offices to ensure effective execution of ARPA-H's objectives
  • Experience in both strong technical and plain language writing
  • General knowledge and experience with acquisition awards such as FAR-based contracts, Cooperative Agreements, and Other Transactions (OTs) and knowledge of acquisition documentation requirements
  • Experience in the development of solicitations, cost estimates, and related documents
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of biomedical research and development
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write reports for scientific and public audiences
  • Experience in using data management and analytics platforms
