Program Manager

Overview

This role manages large‑scale and business transformational programs within the IT department to support the Digital Strategy and the company’s Strategic Program Roadmap. The position involves overseeing complex project implementations, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and vendor partners, and ensuring successful delivery aligned with strategic business outcomes.

A bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university is required. Candidates with current or active certifications in Agile or PMI (PMP, CAPM, PMI‑ACP) are highly preferred.

This position is a hybrid work arrangement based in Dallas, TX, or Portland, OR, requiring at least two days per week in‑office. The role may consider candidates outside these locations who are willing to travel at least once per month.

• Plan, organize, and direct strategic and business transformational programs and complex project implementations to meet business requirements.
• Provide oversight, coordination, and planning of initiatives identified by IT leadership, working with cross‑functional business leaders and vendors to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
• Define and facilitate integrated program planning across multiple work streams and teams, aligning timelines and deliverables with business objectives.
• Manage the full lifecycle of programs and projects, including requirements gathering, scope definition, resource planning, risk mitigation, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and change enablement.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure on‑time, within‑budget delivery of program objectives.
• Manage program and project budgets, including human capital and operational expenditures, ensuring financial accountability.
• Apply project management methodologies and tools, such as Microsoft Project, , or Azure Dev Ops, to monitor progress and dependencies.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and impacts.
• Develop and present performance metrics and reports for executives and portfolio management.
• Lead post‑implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support business process improvements leveraging Lean program approaches.

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience in program or project management.
• Proven success managing large, complex programs, preferably EPIC implementations across multiple work streams and organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to work with ERP cloud platforms, with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics experience.
• Strong knowledge of IT project and program management methodologies, including managing multiple stakeholder levels and executive communication.
• Experience guiding and coaching project teams, fostering collaboration and professional development.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on risk management, schedule control, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to communicate effectively across technical and business functions, including presenting to senior leadership and external partners.

• Experience managing transformational projects in healthcare or small to mid‑size companies with complex gray areas.
• Ability to navigate political environments and build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with integrated project management tools and methodologies aligned with organizational standards.
• Skilled at making tactical decisions and guiding project managers on handling complex situations.
