About the RoleSenior IS Epic Applications Analyst – Grand Central & Prelude
We are looking for an expert who will act as the trusted advisor on Epic software for our healthcare operations, translating complex business requirements into practical system solutions and leading enhancement projects.
- Provide expert analysis and counsel on a wide range of business issues.
- Define user requirements for complex systems and educate customers on application functionality and limitations.
- Partner with internal and external teams to design and implement business solutions.
- Demonstrate service excellence and foster professional relationships with patients, families, staff, and community members.
- Apply technical standards and solve highly complex problems, mentoring less experienced staff.
- Prepare documentation, define workflows, and lead project teams as required.
- Assist in troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and testing of application failures.
- Translate business needs into system design alternatives, configuration, and workflow validations.
- Define and achieve individual goals that support organizational mission, quality, budget, customer satisfaction, and financial results.
- Plan and coordinate downtime, change management, maintenance, and upgrades, including capacity planning and vendor management.
- Travel up to 10% and perform rotational on‑call responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services, or equivalent education/experience.
- 7+ years of build analyst experience with Epic and/or equivalent healthcare software.
- Epic certification within 90 days of hire, with 4+ years of Epic build experience.
- Certifications in software applications, technology infrastructure, or clinical specializations at hire.
- Deep knowledge of Epic application modules including Grand Central, Prelude, User Security & Permissions, Cogito Reporting, Radar Dashboards.
- Strong analytical skills in troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, workflow documentation, stakeholder engagement, and decision‑making.
