We’re partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in the Portland area that’s undergoing an exciting HR transformation—and they’re looking for their next Employee Relations Specialist to help shape the future of their team. This role is a hybrid position in the Portland, OR area, with an annual salary of $80K-$90K, DOE.

Responsibilities:
- Lead complex and sensitive workplace investigations and ensure thorough, timely, and objective outcomes
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on performance issues, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation
- Collaborate with HR leadership to refine and implement employee relations strategies, programs, and policies
- Provide guidance and training to leaders on employee relations best practices and legal compliance
- Analyze ER trends and develop proactive solutions to foster a positive, high-performing work culture
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on employee relations and investigations experience (required)
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and progressive discipline
- Experience in a nonprofit or mission-based environment is a plus, but not required
- High emotional intelligence, confidentiality, and sound judgment
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative, evolving environment and is excited about being part of a transformational HR team
