Catering Services Manager

The Holiday Inn Portland – Columbia Riverfront is seeking a Catering Services Manager to drive catering sales and oversee the successful execution of meetings, conferences, weddings and other social events.

This role is a blend of sales, planning, and on-site coordination
. You’ll be responsible for generating catering revenue, managing client relationships, and ensuring events are executed smoothly from contract through execution.

• Generate new catering business and rebook repeat clients
• Sell and upsell catering menus, event space, and hotel services
• Coordinate event details including menus, room setups, timelines, and special requests
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients before, during, and after events
• Lead pre-conference meetings and ensure accurate event execution
• Work closely with sales and operations teams
• Maintain accurate documentation, contracts, BEOs, and post-event records
• Meet individual and departmental revenue goals
• Manage deposits and final payments in accordance with credit policies

• 3+ years of hotel or catering sales experience (wedding sales a plus)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable managing multiple events simultaneously
• Sales-minded with strong follow-through and attention to detail
• Familiarity with banquet operations, room setups, and event flow
• Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  Delphi FDC experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
