Overview
Holiday Inn Portland is seeking a reliable, professional, and guest-focused Shuttle Driver to join our team. This role is essential to creating a positive first impression and delivering outstanding service to our guests from the moment they arrive. The Shuttle Driver serves as part of the bell services team and is responsible for safely transporting guests, assisting with luggage, and providing information about hotel services and local attractions—all while delivering friendly and courteous service.
Responsibilities- Warmly welcome guests and create a positive first impression.
- Transport guests to and from the airport and other approved locations using hotel vehicles.
- Load, unload, and organize guest luggage and personal belongings.
- Complete baggage claim tickets and accurately match luggage tags.
- Escort guests to and from guest rooms when needed.
- Promote hotel amenities, facilities, and services.
- Provide accurate information on local attractions, events, directions, and transportation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hotel front entrance, bell stand, and bell storage areas.
- Operate hotel vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-driving vehicle inspections (lights, brakes, doors, fluids, tire pressure, fuel levels, etc.).
- Clean, fuel, and take vehicles for scheduled maintenance as required.
- Follow all security procedures related to guest information and room keys.
- Remain calm, alert, and professional during high-volume periods or emergencies.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest and team member requests.
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record - NO DUI.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand English (luggage tags, signage, directions).
- Ability to lift and handle luggage safely.
- Patience, professionalism, and the ability to work well with diverse guests.
- Willingness to follow safety, security, and operational procedures.
