Company & Position Overview
RICAR Business Consulting LLC (RBC) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to support diagnostic imaging services at a federal healthcare facility in the Portland, Oregon area. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality imaging services to patients while maintaining strict compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This position requires technical expertise, patient-centered care, and adherence to established imaging protocols within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing questions or concerns
- Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively, ensuring image quality and diagnostic accuracy
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs or emergencies
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in accordance with facility policies
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including MRI safety zones and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, and other healthcare staff to support patient care
- Conduct routine equipment checks and report any technical issues promptly
- Minimum of two years of recent experience as an MRI Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting
- Demonstrated experience performing routine and advanced MRI procedures
Required:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Active Oregon state licensure, if required by regulation
- Current BLS certification
Preferred:
- Experience working in a federal or VA healthcare environment
- On-site position at a federal healthcare facility in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area
- This role is not remote or hybrid
- Full-time or part-time opportunities may be available based on facility needs
- W-2 position
- Shifts may include weekdays and/or rotating schedules depending on operational requirements
- Hourly Rate: $44.00 – $70.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Estimated Annual Equivalent: Approximately $91,500 – $145,600 (based on full-time hours)
