Vascular Technologist

Overview

Vascular Technologist position (Per Diem/Variable Shift) at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. This role requires knowledge of non-invasive diagnostic procedures used to evaluate vascular occlusive disease and the ability to identify the presence or absence of disease using ultrasound and Doppler equipment. The technologist may modify procedures with supervisor or Medical Director approval to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information on a cost‑effective basis.

Compliance with the Inter-societal Accreditation Commission (IAC) standards for departmental policies and procedures is required. The role requires shared regional coverage for stand-by and on-call evenings and weekends.

• Perform non-invasive vascular diagnostic procedures to evaluate occlusive disease using ultrasound and Doppler equipment.
• Objectively identify the presence or absence of vascular disease.
• Modify procedures as needed with approval from Supervisor or Medical Director to meet special circumstances and deliver clinically useful information.
• Maintain compliance with Inter-societal Accreditation Commission (IAC) standards for departmental policies and procedures.
• Provide shared regional coverage for stand-by and on-call shifts in the evenings and weekends.

• National Registered Vascular Technologist upon hire, or
• National Registered Technologist - Vascular Sonography upon hire, or
• Oregon Sonographer upon hire, or
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

• Graduate of a four-year vascular technology program
• 2 years of experience in a Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory setting

Posted wage range: $42.11 - $65.37 base pay. The successful candidate’s placement within the range depends on relevant experience and other factors. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
