Overview
Our Northwest Permanente Medical Education Program Coordinator provides direction for and implementation of resident and student training activities within our Graduate and Undergraduate Medical Education (GME/UME) department.
This is a hybrid position that is a blend of working both remotely and in office. Must reside in the Northwest Service Region (Oregon or Washington).
Responsibilities- Coordinates graduate and undergraduate clinical rotations and initiates, organizes and conducts orientations and facility tours.
- Collaborates with affiliate training programs rotating at Kaiser Permanente Northwest during the academic year. Addresses questions and concerns, and acts as liaison between trainees, Northwest Permanente physicians, community training programs and Kaiser Permanente staff.
- Analyzes, edits and updates program related educational materials and prepares orientation materials for incoming students and residents.
- Ensures training schedules are correct and meet Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements. Maintains, analyzes and audits trainee information in the GME/UME database to meet program requirements, while assuring compliance and annual Medicare cost report accuracy.
- Maintains, tracks and monitors evaluations to ensure resident evaluations are in compliance with the Residency Review Board and GME/UME. Supports clinicians participating in evaluations and assist site directors in the solicitation of preceptor evaluation feedback.
- Bachelor s degree equivalent experience in business or health related field.
- Five (5) years of professional administrative experience. Healthcare experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete detailed complex work accurately within constrained timeline.
- Ability to execute duties using highest level of tact and integrity.
- Experience in customer service or client relations.
- Proficient computer skills of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Experience working within a graduate medical education department preferred.
- Experience working with medical and student education programs preferred.
