Medical Assistant - MEDICAL FORENSIC role at Providence.

We are looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) II who works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. An MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Work under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients.
• Perform all aspects of the MA I role and be fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Coursework/Training - Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or equivalent.
• Coursework/Training - Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or equivalent.
• Coursework/Training - Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or equivalent.
• Coursework/Training - Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 6 months - Healthcare experience.
• 6 months - Medical Assistant experience.

• National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
