Morrison Child and Family Services is a Joint Commission and Sanctuary accredited non-profit organization providing comprehensive services to children, adolescents, and their families. Program Overview

ORR Immigrant Youth Services - Shelter provides housing and care for up to 25 youth, primarily from Latin America, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa, focusing on assessment and family reunification.

Position Summary

The clinician conducts mental health assessments, provides individual and group counseling, screens for trafficking concerns, and offers crisis intervention.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct mental health assessments, including suicide and flight risk evaluations.
  • Provide ongoing counseling and mental status examinations; complete DSM diagnoses when appropriate.
  • Document services and communicate with external agencies.
  • Make referrals for psychiatric and psychological services.
  • Develop transition plans per ORR guidelines.
  • Supervise youth during activities and outings as needed.
  • Apply trauma-informed care principles and organizational policies.
  • Participate in staff development and training.
  • Qualifications
    • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or relevant field with clinical experience.
    • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English; proficiency test required.
    • Licensure or licensure eligibility preferred.
    Additional Qualifications
    • Experience in multicultural environments and with severe mental health disorders.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA, federal, and state regulations.
    • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
    Other Requirements
    • Flexible work hours; occasional travel and working at multiple sites.
    • Background check, vaccination proof, CPR, and First Aid certification.
    • 40 hours of training annually.
    Working Conditions

    Work occurs in clinical, community, and residential settings, requiring safety awareness and physical dexterity.
