Echocardiograph Technologist
Providence Milwaukie Hospital, Milwaukie, OR – Full-Time / Day Shift. $6,000 Sign‑on Bonus available for eligible external candidates (in addition to benefits & compensation). Pay range: $44.67–$69.35 per hour.
ResponsibilitiesPerform cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physicians’ orders using advanced ultrasound equipment. Objectively identify presence or absence of disease using thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assist physicians with invasive echocardiography procedures such as transesophageal echocardiography, trans‑catheter echo‑guided procedures, pericardiocentesis, echo‑guided myocardial biopsies, contrast‑enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography, etc.
Required Qualifications- Oregon Sonographer upon hire.
- National Registered Cardiac Sonographer – Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire OR
- National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer – Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire.
- National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
- Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- 1 year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations or minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available.
- Pediatric echocardiography experience.
- Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices).
- Experience with echo‑guided trans‑catheter procedures.
