Job Summary
To provide diagnostic ultrasound services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, including OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular superficial structures. Clerical duties as required. Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts and reflects the KPNW Mission and philosophy.
Essential Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic procedures using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for patients of all ages, including routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Communicate with the radiologist.
- Assist patient transport.
- Review examinations, complete file work, restock supplies, maintain cleanliness, perform quality assurance functions, and conduct other assigned duties.

- Graduate of a CAAHEP Accredited Ultrasonographer Program at time of hire or at least two years of prior ultrasound experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate – Abdomen required at hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate – OB/GYN required at hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Sonography Technologist License (Oregon) required at hire.
- Basic Life Support within one month of hire.
- Daily use of diagnostic equipment, imaging, and healthcare computer system.
- Demonstrate customer-focused service skills.
- Apply excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum one year experience performing ultrasound exams, preferably within the last three years.
- Vascular ultrasonography experience preferred.
- Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem solving, decision making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational relations.
- Adaptability, adherence to policies and procedures, flexibility.
- Ability to work unsupervised and perform exams independently and confidently.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) ARDMS certification.
