Overview
The Financial Coordinator is part of a team who handles the direct interaction with patients and their families during difficult times, providing financial insurance and payment information to assist them in planning and managing their account balances related to specific services performed in the clinic. The Financial Coordinator educates patients on the various sponsorship programs available to them. The Financial Coordinator is the liaison to the PBO/RBO and the sponsoring hospital.

ResponsibilitiesThe Financial Coordinator supports patients and families during difficult times by providing financial counseling, insurance and payment information, and guidance to plan and manage account balances related to services performed in the clinic. The coordinator educates patients on sponsorship programs and serves as the liaison to the PBO/RBO and the sponsoring hospital.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in a Business Office, preferably in a financial/billing position.
- Experience with medical and health plan terminology, CPT codes, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.

- Coursework/Training:
College coursework. - Experience with medical specialty.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
