Description

RN – Long Term Care at Providence Child Center in Portland, Oregon. This posting represents a part-time day shift position. Hours are 7am-7:30pm (2, 12 hour shifts), with rotating weekends and holidays. Our Long-Term Care unit within the Child Center has a total of 46 beds, serving both pediatric and adult patients. We care for a unique and diverse population of medically fragile individuals, ranging from children with complex developmental and neurological conditions to adults with chronic illnesses and disabilities.

Some of our residents require long-term ventilator support, tracheostomy care, and all require some assistance with activities of daily living. Our team is deeply committed to providing compassionate, resident-centered care in a nurturing environment.

Our unit is known for its continuity of care, with many caregivers having long tenures and deep relationships with our residents and families. We’re also proud of our interdisciplinary approach, working closely with respiratory therapy, rehab, and social work to provide holistic care.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Upon hire:
Oregon Registered Nurse License. Within 30 days of hire:
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. Upon hire:
In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), a criminal background check is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

1 year of experience in long term care.
