Senior Clinical Research Assistant / Project Coordinator

Position Type:
Regular Full-Time, FTE 1.0, 40-hour per week.

Overview

The Developmental Brain Imaging Laboratory, under the direction of Dr. Bonnie Nagel, seeks a full‑time project coordinator to support an ongoing NIH‑funded longitudinal study of healthy adults in the National Consortium on Alcohol & Neurodevelopment in Adolescence Adulthood (NCANDA‑A).

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, retain, and schedule study participants; oversee project with written interactions with NIH and local IRB.
  • Assist with study visits, including neuropsychological and behavioral assessments and acquisition of structural and functional MRI data.
  • Train and oversee other staff, ensuring adherence to protocols and high‑quality data collection.
  • Manage project databases, data entry, maintain study documentation, and perform administrative duties to support study goals.
  • Operate independently with strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills; adapt to changing priorities and support team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or equivalent combination of training and experience; 1–3 years prior research or clinical experience.
  • Proficiency with software such as Excel, REDCap, SPSS, and E‑Prime.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact regularly with research participants and staff.
  • Self‑starter with strong work ethic, adaptability, creativity, and quick learning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree or background in psychological or neuroimaging research.
  • Project coordination or management experience.
  • Experience working with adults.
