We are looking for a strong assisted living/memory care Registered Nurse with documented leadership experience in the assisted living/memory care space to serve in this rare regional nursing role supporting our Oregon communities.
If you have some serious background as the head of nursing at an assisted living/memory care community, and you are open to a heavily traveling role where you get to train and develop new community-based nurses, this job is for you. You would be overseeing the delivery of health care and supportive services provided by Health Services Directors and the direct care staff at the community level at a roster of assisted living/memory care communities in our portfolio, ensuring clinical excellence, survey readiness, and hiring/onboarding of new community-based (Health Services Directors) nurses.

- 1. You would be responsible for the development and implementation of training programs for staff in the assisted living environment meeting state and federal requirements as well as company policies and procedures.
- 2. Assist and train Health Services Directors in attaining the skills needed to meet the care needs of the residents, fostering a non-clinical, resident-centered approach to the planning and delivery of services, and supporting residents’ rights to participate in decision‑making.
- 3. Provide training to the health services directors on the company assessment tool and the development of care plans assessing the health, functional and psychosocial status of each resident.
- 4. Communicate and train staff on corporate protocols and participate in policy and procedural development.
- 5. Audit nursing records and chart notes periodically or no less than two times each year at each community.
- 6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all rules and regulations pertaining to resident care in each assigned state and responsible for keeping informed of industry and health care trends and standards, applying new knowledge to meet the changing needs of residents.
- 7. Participate in the marketing efforts of the management team by representing the residence in a positive manner to outside agencies and participating in residence social functions.
- 8. Participate in trouble‑shouting with Executive Directors and Health Services Directors and keep the Senior Regional Support Nurse and Chief Clinical Officer up to date on field activities and developments.
- Must have a current, unencumbered RN license. Excellent written and oral communication and motivational skills. Ability to creatively problem‑solve in both resident care and employee management situations. Individual must be a team player, well organized, and flexible.
- Registered Nurse consulting experience from multiple assisted living/memory care facilities, with a minimum of 3 years working in geriatric nursing, including experience with medication administration, delivery systems and pharmacies.
- Two years in supervisory/management position, with experience with budgets, staff development and training.
