Overview
The Supervisor Diagnostic Imaging for MRI at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR is a full‑time day shift position. The Supervisor performs all duties of a diagnostic imaging technologist/sonographer and expands those responsibilities to oversee daily operations in multiple care environments, ensuring policies and procedures are developed, utilized, and maintained to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Direct patient care as a diagnostic imaging technologist/sonographer.
- Oversee daily operations in multiple care environments.
- Develop, utilize, and maintain policies and procedures to adhere to organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Assist the manager in ensuring that the service functions and caregivers comply with regulations or guidelines set forth by accrediting bodies, payors, and professional licensing organizations.
- Demonstrate organization and leadership of meetings, manual review, and creation/oversight of posted communications.
- Serve as the primary resource for caregiver orientation, development, and ongoing satisfaction.
- Oregon Medical Imaging License from Oregon State Board upon hire.
- National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire, or National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire, or National Certified MRI Technologist – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists upon hire, or National Certification from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
- Five (5) years working as a diagnostic imaging technologist/sonographer.
- Two (2) years in a leadership (Supervisor, Coordinator, or Lead) capacity in an imaging department.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or applicable field.
