X‑Ray Tech – Kaiser Permanente
Job SummaryProvide diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, including clerical duties. Perform all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the KPNW Mission and philosophy.
Essential Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiological procedures using diagnostic radiographic equipment for routine, emergent, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic examinations in accordance with department policies.
- Process images, understand and use the current RIS and PACS system. Work under the radiologist’s supervision on an as‑needed basis, including quality assurance, exam clarification, and ECG performance when required.
- Manage patient transport, file work, restock supplies, clean equipment, and handle patient registration and scheduling.
- Participate in on‑call or standby schedules as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience: N/A
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- License, Certification, Registration:
- Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) or Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington)
- Diagnostic Technologist Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists at hire
- Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire
- Daily use of diagnostic equipment, imaging, and health care computer systems.
- Customer‑focused service skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all personnel.
- Proficient knowledge of radiology equipment and exams, including fluoroscopy, DXA, surgery, portable and routine radiographic exams.
- Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three (3) years.
- Organizational skills: time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem solving, decision making, judgment; technical skills; initiative; customer relations.
- Adaptability, adherence to policies and procedures, flexibility.
- Experience with McKesson PACS and EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Science or related field.
