Overview
The Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental & Related Disabilities (LEND) post‑graduate fellowship in speech‑language pathology is a 12‑month full‑time clinical role. Fellows complete the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association fellowship, accrue all clinical hours, and receive training at the Child Development & Rehabilitation Center (CDRC) Clinics at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital/Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon.
Clinical ResponsibilitiesFellows engage in multidisciplinary team assessments and rotations through Craniofacial, Feeding, Autism, Down Syndrome, Child Development, Augmentative/Alternative Communication, and/or Neurodevelopment Clinics. Fellows deliver intervention and treatment for children with communication disorders in the CDRC clinics.
Interdisciplinary Training & Leadership Activities- Weekly interdisciplinary seminars on developmental disabilities, community outreach, family systems, leadership, and policy development.

- Research project and presentation under a mentor.
- Leadership and teaching opportunities.
- Opportunities for continuing education.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, hold a master’s degree in speech‑language pathology, and have a conditional license to practice in Oregon (typically arranged after acceptance). Candidates must meet all certification requirements except the Clinical Fellowship, pass a background check and drug screen, and be committed to working with diverse populations.

- A letter of intent (≤ 2 pages) covering interests, goals, and background related to the position.
- A resume (≤ 2 pages).
- Two letters of recommendation, at least one from a clinical supervisor who observed clinical experience/skill.

Stipend & BenefitsStipends are available for the 2026‑27 academic year (minimum $58,000). Benefits are provided and are contingent upon continued grant funding through the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau. Vaccination RequirementsFellows must provide proof of up‑to‑date vaccinations:
