Application:
Submit via the City of Portland’s online portal. Attach a resume and answer supplemental questions.
- Research and document property operator and onsite drainage information, along with prior BES interactions with industrial and commercial businesses in select Columbia Slough City stormwater outfall basins.
- Assist with inspecting industrial and commercial businesses to identify environmental concerns and non‑compliance associated with stormwater discharges and document inspection findings during and after site inspections.
- Conduct outreach to regulated businesses regarding their stormwater discharge requirements.
- Review environmental surveys submitted by businesses to determine the applicability of stormwater discharge regulations.
- Take meeting notes to capture key discussions, decisions, and action items.
- A passion for environmental protection.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Desire to perform work in the field.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Driver’s license is required.
