We are searching for a collaborative, detailed, and results‑oriented Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our Portland, OR team.

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst helps support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting by analyzing data, business performance, and foot traffic trends. This role works closely with Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate financial information and provide insights that help the business make informed financial and operational decisions.

full time individual contributor; hybrid work schedule based in Portland, Oregon. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. - Salary: base starting range - $78,000 - $85,000

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 1-4 years of experience.
- Supports business partners by producing critical financial data and conducting data analysis. Supports budgeting and forecasting processes and reporting; helps manage and achieve Accounting and Finance KPI’s.
- Provides timely, relevant, and accurate reporting & analysis about company performance and sales results. Analyzes income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to pinpoint opportunities, trends, and variances.
- Regularly performs monthly, quarterly, and yearly balance sheet and income statement analysis. Investigates and reports inconsistencies. Prepares rolling forecasts of financial performance with variance analysis against budget.
- Reviews and analyzes customer traffic data in relation to sales data. Observes and monitors the performance of the foot traffic counting system to help evaluate store activity and performance.
- Performs return on investment analysis and identifies opportunities for performance improvement across the company. Identifies trends and patterns to help optimize company and store performance.
- Develops models that help with decision-making. Develops automated reporting for more efficient use of data through excel imports or other methods.
- Works cross functionally to guide and provide reports to other departments and stakeholders. Supports Accounting and Finance team as needed.
- Supports and contributes to ad-hoc financial analyses and projects. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Abilities andSkills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Natural ability to bridge the gap between technical and non‑technical teams.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Analytical mindset; problem solver.
- Knowledge of Accounting fundamentals.
- Good understanding of financial statements.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities – ability to prioritize work, problem solve and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Basic SQL or data querying experience
- Familiarity and/or experience with AI and automation tools
- Prior experience with Net Suite
- Previous work experience in the retail industry
