This position is eligible for the company’s 401(k) after 500 hours of service. Medical/Vision Insurance will be covered at 90% of the lowest premium, with the remainder of premiums being covered via pre‑tax payroll deductions by the employee. Dental, Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, and AD&D Insurance are all covered at no charge to the employees by the company. This position is eligible for our unlimited time off policy.

The Vice President of Finance and Operations is a senior management role responsible for the overall financial health, operational effectiveness, and scalable growth of the organization. Serving as a key strategic partner to the CEO, the Vice President of Finance and Operations translates company strategy into disciplined execution by aligning financial management, operational performance, and enterprise‑wide accountability.
This role provides executive leadership over finance and operations, ensuring strong financial controls, efficient systems, and data‑driven decision‑making across the business. The Vice President of Finance and Operations drives performance through rigorous planning, forecasting, and execution, while building the infrastructure, teams, and processes necessary to support long‑term profitability and organizational resilience. The Vice President of Finance and Operations acts as a steward of the company’s resources, a catalyst for operational excellence, and a trusted advisor to ownership and executive leadership.
DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES [TRAVEL, SUPERVISORY EXPECTATION, ETC.]
- Fully develop and execute the businesses financial strategy to support growth, profitability, and long‑term stability
- Manage and improve all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury, and tax
- Present all complex financial and operational information to the CEO, management team and other key stakeholders
- Oversee audits, tax filings, insurance programs, and regulatory compliance; oversee job cost reporting, WIP analysis, margin performance, and project financial controls to
- Partner with other financial team members to design and maintain strong internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risk, as well as safeguard all company assets
- Monitor and review all material sourcing, pricing and procurement processes to control cost volatility and protect margins
- Understand and manage bonding capacity, baking relationships, working capital, and cash flow cycles
- Review all major bids for accuracy, examine pricing strategies, and know operational backlog margins to ensure growth and risk exposure
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to measure financial and operational performance
- Supervise contract risk, potential claim exposure, insurance strategy and all legal risks related to personnel, project and operations
- Direct all business functions to drive cross‑department alignment, operational efficiency, and all execution of the business strategy and vision, financial goals, and performance targets
- Partner with operational leaders to establish performance metrics, cost controls, and productivity improvements; drive operational discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization
- Monitor and analyze company performance against budgets, forecasts, and strategic goals; identify risks, trends, and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions when needed
- Build a high‑performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results
- Support workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives
- Partner with HR and executive leadership on compensation strategy and incentive programs
- Expert knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles (GAAP), and financial reporting
