A rapidly expanding professional services firm is seeking a Vice President of Finance & Accounting to help build and scale a modern finance function. This role is ideal for a forward‑thinking finance leader who excels at both operational rigor and strategic partnership.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee core accounting operations, enhance financial infrastructure, modernize systems, and provide executive‑level insights that influence business direction. What You’ll Do- Lead and elevate daily financial operations
, including cash management, AP/AR, payroll, month‑end close, and financial reporting. - Deliver timely, accurate financial statements and ensure consistency across multiple business units.
- Partner directly with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Manage tax compliance
, regulatory reporting, and equity‑related documentation. - Oversee audit preparation and act as the primary contact for external audit partners.
- Drive policy, internal control, and process improvements across the finance organization.
- Take a leading role in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a modern ERP platform as the company transitions away from small‑business accounting software.
- Build reporting frameworks and dashboards to strengthen financial visibility, unit economics insight, and executive decision‑making.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, HR, and leadership on financial strategy, resource planning, and organizational scalability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
CPA preferred
. - 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership of small‑to‑mid sized teams.
- Strong grounding in GAAP, financial operations, and multi‑entity environments.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP implementations and financial systems upgrades.
- Skilled communicator adept at working with executives and cross‑functional partners.
- Comfortable shaping strategy while staying close to the details of operational finance.
- A proactive builder who thrives in evolving, growth‑minded environments.
- Competitive base compensation: $150,000–$205,000 DOE + discretionary bonus
