Compensation:
- Salary range: $125,000 – $150,000
, plus discretionary bonus - PTO program with an initial accrual schedule that increases with tenure

Team Oversight: 7 team members across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash management, and related support functions
Hours: Standard 40‑hour week with minimal overtime

Position Overview
The Controller serves as a key finance leader responsible for the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of the organization’s financial information. This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive financial effectiveness, support company growth, and maintain strong internal controls.
You will lead the accounting function, oversee all routine and period‑end processes, guide a talented team, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct day‑to‑day accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL management, cash receipts/disbursements, reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering accountability and professional growth
- Oversee resolution of account discrepancies, returns, pricing adjustments, rebates, and related reconciliations
- Strengthen, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Manage month‑end and year‑end close to ensure timely, accurate reporting
- Review financial results, analyze trends, and prepare management reporting packages
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and other forward‑looking financial analysis
- Act as the primary liaison for the annual audit
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to resolve financial issues and improve processes
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and system optimization
- Provide guidance on accounting treatment and policy interpretation to internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or advanced credentials preferred
- Strong command of GAAP and regulatory accounting practices
- Skilled at working with large data sets and building management‑ready reports
- Proficiency with modern accounting software and advanced Excel capabilities
- Leadership experience with direct responsibility for team development
- Experience supporting audits and preparing financial statements
- Background in e‑commerce, consumer goods, or distribution environments a plus
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, evolving business setting
