Assistant Controller

Salary: $125,000–$150,000

Location:

NE Portland, OR (Hybrid)

• Highly flexible hybrid structure (1–2 days per month onsite)
• Visible, high-impact role supporting responsible stewardship of funds tied directly to programs and services
• Collaborative culture that values continuous learning, thoughtful leadership, and operational excellence

• Oversee general ledger activity and financial reporting across nonprofit and for-profit entities
• Manage restricted fund accounting and ensure compliance with donor and grant requirements
• Support internal controls, process improvements, and leadership reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred
• Experience with nonprofit accounting, restricted funds, and Form 990 preparation
• Background in both nonprofit and for-profit
