A specialized investment management firm is hiring an Investment Analyst to join a lean, mission-driven team in Portland, Oregon. This role blends analytical work, client-facing responsibilities, and high-impact writing, with a particular focus on leading and elevating the firm’s Request for Proposal (RFP) efforts. You’ll support advisors, engage directly with clients, help improve internal processes, and contribute meaningfully to a firm that prioritizes service over profit.
The ideal candidate is a sharp, self-directed professional with strong writing skills, solid investment knowledge, and the confidence to operate in a small, high-accountability environment where initiative matters.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $120,000 / Year DOE
Investment Analyst Responsibilities- Lead and manage Request for Proposal (RFP) efforts, including timelines, drafting, editing, and compliance
- Write, update, and refine RFP language and other professional financial content
- Support advisors with prospecting, client servicing, and relationship management
- Coordinate and participate in client meetings, including preparation, follow-ups, and reporting
- Own and maintain accurate client relationship documentation within Salesforce
- Assist with market research, analysis, and the creation of client-facing presentations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes and identify automation opportunities
- Lead client onboarding by gathering data, organizing information, and supporting portfolio strategy recommendations
- Evaluate internal workflows and proactively recommend process improvements to support scale
- 1 - 10 years of experience with an investment manager, custodian bank, or institutional financial organization
- Demonstrated experience writing RFP responses or similar professional content in financial services
- Strong understanding of investment concepts and fixed income fundamentals
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, English, or professional/technical writing strongly preferred
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to research independently and ask thoughtful questions
