Financial Controller

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to oversee the financial operations of a growing technology services company. This role will provide leadership across accounting, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning while working closely with senior leadership to drive business goals.

• Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close.
• Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage the annual budget process, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights, modeling, and recommendations for business decisions.
• Implement process improvements, internal controls, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions as needed.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting systems, and financial reporting.
• Experience in a small to mid-sized business environment where hands-on involvement is key.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Tech-savvy, with the ability to evaluate and implement new systems and tools.
• Collaborative leadership style with the ability to partner cross-functionally.
