Multi-Unit Team Leader

The Multi-Unit Team Leader role at H&R Block leads three tax offices and oversees customer-centric teams to accelerate the seasonal tax business. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. The role begins with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transitions to full-time from January to April, including evenings and weekends as needed. In-person work is required.

• Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and guide customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
• Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three tax offices.
• Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information, and manage associate work schedules and timekeeping across all offices.
• Travel between offices as required.
• Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.

• Multi-unit people management experience in the retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry.
• Ability to create and execute growth plans and lead toward a growth culture; strong decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset that seeks to understand and exceed client needs.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with the equivalent combination of experience.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
