Corporate Tax Manager

Our Pacific Northwest client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join their corporate tax team. The ideal candidate will blend strong technical tax expertise with exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills to drive process improvements and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-evolving industry. This is a great opportunity for a Tax Manager or Sr. Tax Accountant ready to transition out of Public Accounting.

This role is fully in-office in Portland, Oregon, and we are only considering candidates currently residing in Portland, Oregon and surrounding area.

• Oversee preparation, review, and integration of fixed asset tax data for provisions, returns, budgets, forecasts, and regulatory filings.
• Utilize specialized tax software to track depreciation and deferred income taxes.
• Lead responses to regulatory and tax authority inquiries and requests.
• Analyze financial reporting metrics, including variance and regulatory flow-through analyses, to support decision-making.
• Oversee and lead tax team members, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
• Active CPA license with 4+ years of public accounting experience, ideally within a Big 4 firm.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and strong Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex tax concepts.
• Strong project management abilities with experience handling multiple priorities concurrently.

Salary: $105K-$130K/year + Bonus (DOE)
