Job Description
Construction Designer
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on commercial and residential projects by combining technical expertise, analytical skills, and collaborative problem-solving. You’ll work closely with architects, contractors, and dealers while building valuable experience in project coordination, estimating, and industry‑leading design tools within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Portland, OR
SALARY : $60k-$65k/yr. DOE
SCHEDULE :
Full‑time | 7:00am‑4:00pm

- Make a Meaningful Impact – Help bring commercial and residential projects to life through detailed take‑offs, accurate quotes, and project coordination.
- Collaborate with Industry Professionals – Partner with architects, roofing contractors, and dealers while delivering design presentations.
- Use Both Technical and Creative Skills – Combine design software expertise and analytical thinking with communication and relationship‑building.
- Grow in a Dynamic Environment – Gain hands‑on experience with industry tools while building a strong foundation in project management, estimating, and client support.
- Manage and update project records, tracking systems, and project support.
- Prepare and provide pricing quotes to customers and dealers.
- Generate commercial and residential material take‑offs.
- Consult and collaborate with architects, roofing contractors, and clients to deliver design presentations, and perform general administrative duties.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience;
Bachelor’s degree preferred - Construction‑related experience, with the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting reports and presenting information to varied audiences.
- Proficiency in geometry, trigonometry, ratios, percentages, and basic statistical concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Taper‑Plus, RoofCAD/Digitizer, BXWA, and Dodge/ISQFT.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including digital copiers, scanners, and printers.
The role also involves occasional standing, walking, climbing ladders and working at heights, balancing, and lifting objects. This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer and office tasks, with frequent use of hands, reaching, speaking, and hearing. Employee must have close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
