WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead and manage aviation infrastructure projects from inception to completion, including airfield improvements, land/site development, and ORAT activities.
- Interface directly with clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies; maintain strong client relationships and communicate project progress.
- Assist aviation clients in writing grants to fund projects under FAA AIP and other programs.
- Staff and manage interdisciplinary teams; mentor junior staff and coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors.
- Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets; manage delivery to meet client expectations and Jacobs’ financial goals.
- Recognize, communicate, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead or assist with competitive bid proposals, presentations, and market assessments; build client business opportunities.
- Oversee quality control processes and implement best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- 8–10+ years in aviation project management, planning, grant writing, and permitting.
- Proven project management expertise, including managing interdisciplinary teams and subconsultants.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (Bluebeam preferred).
- Ability to interpret engineering design drawings and specifications.
- PMP preferred;
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license a plus. - Ability to travel as needed for project assignments and pursuits.
- Experience with FAA AIP program requirements and ORAT processes.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance tracking during construction.
- Airfield civil engineering design experience and multi‑discipline infrastructure projects.
- Established client relationships in the Northwest region.
