We’re seeking a Developing-Level Piping Designer ready to grow their technical skills while supporting projects that keep industrial and commercial facilities operating at their best.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and designers, building your expertise in piping models, layouts, and coordinated design within a collaborative, multi-discipline environment.
What You’ll Do- Develop basic piping layouts and perform pipe routing in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, or CADWorx
- Apply piping fundamentals including sizing, routing logic, and discipline coordination
- Assist with equipment layout and integrate vendor information into models
- Produce drawings, details, and deliverables aligned with project standards
- Incorporate redlines, markups, and design updates from senior staff
- Participate in workshare coordination and communicate model updates clearly
- Maintain quality, organization, and accuracy across assigned tasks
- Associate’s degree in Design Technology or related field (or 2+ years equivalent practical experience)
- 2–4 years of piping design experience in industrial, commercial, or manufacturing environments
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, or CADWorx
- Understanding of piping fundamentals, equipment layout, and general design practices
- Ability to read and interpret basic piping specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communicator in multi-disciplinary team settings
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or similar field
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing facilities
- Familiarity with pipe stress considerations and layout impacts
- Exposure to QA/QC workflows or specification-driven design
- Advanced Revit or CADWorx experience (family/part creation, spec-driven modeling)
- Experience in global workshare environments
