Senior Manufacturing Quality Assurance Engineer

Leatherman Tool Group is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Quality Assurance Engineer to help drive product and process excellence across our manufacturing operations and supply chain

This is a senior, influential role for someone who enjoys both technical depth and leadership without direct reports.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive plant-wide and multi-site quality improvements
  • Lead SPC standards, process capability, and inspection strategies
  • Own metrology strategy (GR&R, CMM, vision systems, custom gages
  • Support supplier qualification, audits, and corrective actions
  • Partner on NPI and new equipment qualification
  • Lead CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives (DMAIC, A3, 5 Whys)
  • Champion AI and automation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Power Platform) to elevate quality systems

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field
  • 10+ years of quality engineering experience (or 5+ with a Master's)
  • Deep experience with SPC, process capability, GD&T, and root cause analysis
  • Background in high-volume manufacturing
  • Strong communicator who can influence at the shop-floor and leadership level
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or ASQ CQE certification a plus
