Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Portland, OR

Are you an experienced geotechnical professional passionate about shaping critical infrastructure that powers communities and protects natural resources? We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a dynamic team in Portland, Oregon
, focusing on large‑scale projects in hydropower facilities, dams, spillways, and water resource systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead geotechnical investigations and analyses for hydroelectric facilities, dam foundations, embankments, and related structures.
  • Perform stability evaluations, seepage analysis, and foundation design for new and existing infrastructure.
  • Develop detailed technical reports, design recommendations, and construction specifications.
  • Collaborate with civil, structural, and environmental engineers to integrate geotechnical solutions into holistic project designs.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience, with a strong background in hydro‑related projects.
  • Expertise in soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and geotechnical software for stability and seepage analysis.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
