Position SummaryThe employee is primarily responsible for effective teaching and learning of the assigned subject(s) following district approved curriculum, instruction and assessment practices. Primary responsibility shall include student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student's readiness to learn including needed guidance, discipline, and welfare. Employee may teach in a variety of elementary and/or secondary educational, individual or team teaching settings.

Must hold or be able to obtain Oregon Educator licensure with a Subject Matter Endorsement specific to the content area taught in this position (i.e. must hold biology endorsement if teaching biology).

Salary- Annual Salary Range ): $58,788 – $111,463 (193-Day Contract). Initial placement based on education, experience.
- This salary range reflects 1.0 FTE. Actual salary is prorated based on FTE and start date.
- Stipend(s) are pro‑rated based on 1.0 FTE and start/end dates of position/assignment.
- As a licensed employee, you are eligible to receive:
- A stipend of $2,500 if certified by NBPTS (National Board for Professional Teaching Standards).
- A stipend of $3,000 if you hold a PhD or EdD.
North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. The district contributes the employer portion; there is also a mandatory employee portion. Upon eligibility, which is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position, the employee is required to contribute 6% as their employee portion, via payroll deduction.
Part‑time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
- Successful completion of a teacher certification program at an accredited college or university.
- Possess or able to obtain Oregon licensure with a Subject Matter Endorsement (for secondary teaching positions).
- Must have successful experience in working with culturally diverse families and communities, or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with a diverse population.
- Evidence of continuous professional learning and a commitment to participate in professional growth opportunities and self‑reflection on professional practice.
- Demonstrated content knowledge for subjects/levels being taught.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with parents, students, and staff.
- Commitment to effective collaboration and teaming within a professional learning community.
- Skill in classroom management and ability to achieve, support, and maintain acceptable student behavior.
