Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Landscape Technology at the Rock Creek Campus. The Department will review applications in this pool as the need arises for new part-time faculty in this area. This is NOT an announcement of a specific open position, but a Part-time Faculty Interest Pool, from which the department will identify applicants based on course assignment needs during the Academic Year.
Your application may be considered for substitute assignments as well as full-term class assignments.

Instructor Qualifications- Master’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Construction, Landscape Management, Turf Management, Biology, Botany, Vocational Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of relevant industry experience
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Construction, Landscape Management, Turf Management, Biology, Botany, Vocational Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of four years of relevant industry experience
OR
- Associate’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Construction, Landscape Management, Turf Management, Biology, Botany, Vocational Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience
OR
- Have a high level of demonstrable competency through a combination of student teaching experience, professional performance, or through licensing or certification through the Landscape Contractor’s Board, the International Society of Arboriculture, or the Association of Professional Landscape Designers

Instructors with credentials from other countries will have their transcripts evaluated by agencies that have good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services to establish fulfillment of this standard.
