Job SummaryThe University of Portland invites applications for a tenure‑track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the School of Nursing & Health Innovations to begin August 15 2026. Successful candidates will be DNP – Family Nurse Practitioners prepared to contribute to the DNP‑FNP graduate program, with some undergraduate teaching.
The School values a diversity of backgrounds and intellectual perspectives, creating a rich student‑mentoring environment. Candidates must demonstrate enthusiasm for innovative, inclusive pedagogy and a commitment to addressing social determinants of health. Tenure‑track faculty serve the School, the University, and its students by teaching, advising, conducting research, and serving on committees.
החוק Core DutiesUniversity faculty teach, advise, conduct research, and serve. Tenure‑track faculty at the University typically teach nine credits per semester, delivering didactic, simulation, and clinical content across the lifespan, developing and evaluating syllabi aligned with CCNE and NTF standards, and facilitating in‑person or virtual immersion experiences. Faculty serve as academic advisors, assist students in achieving course objectives, grade coursework, and provide feedback.
All faculty are expected to develop an active program of scholarship and collaborate with colleagues in service to the School and the University.
