Responsibilities- Teach in the nurse-midwifery education program (focus area) and provide clinical teaching in the OHSU Nurse-Midwifery Faculty Practice.
- Engage in clinical practice/clinical teaching as negotiated; supervise and coordinate student experiences in labs and clinical settings.
- Participate in scholarly activities, including inquiry and scholarship contributing to clinical practice (adjusted to faculty rank).
- Contribute to education activities: didactic instruction, curriculum development, evaluation, mentorship, and advising of students; supervise DNP student inquiry projects.
- Engage in service activities: faculty meetings, committee work, professional activities, and other duties as assigned; participate in faculty governance according to rank.
- Perform administrative activities as negotiated; provide services aligned with university missions and goals.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor in support of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
- Education:
PhD or DNP (or equivalent), with degree dependent on academic program type and rank. - Licenses/Certifications:
Oregon RN license;
Oregon APRN license; BLS (American Heart Association); NRP certification; national certification as ACNM/ACC/AMCB or equivalent. - Experience:
Minimum of three years of full-scope midwifery practice required; three years of clinical practice experience preferred.
- Clinical expertise in a defined area of practice; ability to engage in teaching, research, and service as part of a practice-focused mission.
- FTE may be negotiated to fit candidate’s preferences and program needs.
