Program and RolePCC is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Mathematics. Courses in math are taught at all four PCC campuses. This is NOT an announcement of a specific open position, but a Part-time Faculty Interest Pool to identify applicants based on course assignment needs during the Academic Year. Your application may be considered for substitute assignments as well as full-term class assignments.
InstructorQualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Master’s degree (MS, MA) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics; OR
- Master’s degree in Mathematics Education or Master’s degree in Teaching (e.g., MST, MAT) with an emphasis in mathematics; AND Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics; AND 18 quarter hours (12 semester hours) in graduate-level mathematics; OR
- Master’s degree in a field related to mathematics†; AND 27 quarter hours (18 semester hours) in graduate-level mathematics
Demonstrated competency for part-time faculty and dual credit instructors may be satisfied by other qualifications if the above minimums are not met. See the PCC Math Instructor Qualifications page for details.

Part-time Faculty Compensation At PCCNewly hired Part-time Faculty generally start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule. Hourly rates are determined based on the type of course taught (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab).
