Overview

Student Success Specialist
- Elementary School at Greater Than. This is a school-based position and will require availability during the school day at Lincoln Street Elementary School in the Hillsboro School District. The Elementary School Student Success Specialist is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the academic support programming for Greater Than. This position will implement a culturally specific service-delivery model to support bilingual student academic growth in and outside the classroom.

This may include targeted small-group support, in-class support, and supporting the broader school community.

Responsibilities
  • Academic Intervention and Student Academic Progress:
    Monitor student academic progress to strengthen service delivery; collaborate with teachers and the Student Success Team to collect, record, analyze and monitor individual student progress; provide targeted students with daily interventions through various delivery models aligned to the science of reading and Common Core Math standards.
  • Student Engagement and Achievement:
    Create and implement culturally specific and targeted support for K-3 classrooms; build and cultivate strong partnerships with teachers, principals, school officials, and other key decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Case Management:
    Provide culturally specific direct service mentoring, leadership programming, and academic intervention to 70-90 bilingual Spanish-speaking GT students; maintain direct contact with GT students regarding middle school transition and continue a whole-student culturally specific case management approach; track GT students’ academic progress; identify and co-develop 1:1 intervention plans for high priority students; communicate with families of high priority students participating in Emerging Scholars program;

    create student portfolios and a case management system to track milestones.
  • Family Engagement and Leadership:
    Develop and communicate a transition plan for families and students as they move through the GT continuum of programming; support family engagement nights; visit family homes as needed; coordinate with school personnel and PCG/PAC to plan and execute school events; support attendance planning; help establish systems for parent feedback through listening sessions, surveys, and interviews.
  • Data and Reporting:
    Navigate Apricot database software for data entry, manage parent data, and track data for grants; maintain data integrity and assist with reporting of measurable data for grants.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree (preferred in education, school counseling, or related field) or 2-3 years of experience with culturally diverse youth, 1st generation college students, and coordinating projects/partnerships/admin/mentorship programs at Title I schools.
  • Mentoring experience with resilient and historically underserved youth.
  • Fingerprinting and driving check required.
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay range: $44,875-$57,274
